Nokia celebrates St Patrick's Day with free mobile apps

Nokia is getting into the party spirit this week and giving its phone users the chance to celebrate St Patrick's Day (17th March) with a batch of new Irish-themed apps.

Available from the Ovi store now there are four free apps to download, ranging from fun games to handy Irish pub navigation tools.

First up is Nokia's "Leprechaun Detector"; an light-heared app by which you can use your mobile phone to scan a room and detect any lurking Leprechauns.

On a more refreshing note, if you'd rather use your mobile phone to hunt down the nearest Irish bar, whether you're in your own town or travelling abroad, "Slainte - the Irish Pub Finder" can be use to locate the closest pub to you.

Next up is "Focal Me - the Gaeilge translator". Featuring a batch of useful Irish phrases complete with everyday phrases, this app comes complete with English translations, pronunciations and playable audio clips.

Alternatively, if you'd rather show your Irish allegiance with a simple "Mobile Flag" you can download an animated wallpaper which will chance from green to white through orange.

To view and download all these apps visit the Ovi store at www.ovi.com.
