Vodafone's iPhone 4 tariffs leaked ahead of pre-ordering

Pre-ordering for the iPhone 4 begins today; and anyone keen to know what the pricing will look like this side of the pond might be interested to know that Vodafone's pricing has been leaked - by Vodafone itself.
The iPhone 4 tariffs went up - albeit briefly - on Vodafone's website yesterday; and thanks to a quick-witted Engadget Mobile reader who took some screenshots, are now in the public domain. Vodafone itself is denying the accuracy of the leak, but it makes for interesting reading nonetheless.
The new handset will be a snip at £499 if purchased directly from Apple, but UK networks have been kind of slow to reveal what kinds of subsidised deals they will be offering. The Voda leak, however, suggests that Vodafone customers can bag the iPhone 4 for free if they sign up to a £45 per month, 24 month contract. Alternatively, cheaper contracts such as £25 per month over two years will mean that the handset starts at £189. Extras include free Vodafone calls for the life of the contract for anyone pre-ordering; and price plans over £40 including 5MB European data roaming. Full details can be seen over at Engadget Mobile.
And speaking of data, the other remarkable thing about the leaked tariffs is that they don't follow the trend set by O2 for dramatically reducing data allowances on smartphones. If the leaked information is indeed true, Vodafone has set its data limit for the iPhone 4 at a respectable 1GB.
