Pick your own network: Dell to sell Streak unlocked

If you have your eye on the Dell Streak then you may be interested to hear that it will now be available SIM-free, allowing you to run the device on any network.
Previously launched exclusively on O2, the Streak is a strange beast, somewhere between a large smartphone and a small tablet - but it's a form factor that could be one to watch.
The Streak boasts a 'vibrant and spacious' 800 x 480 5-inch multi-touch screen; 5Mp camera with LED flash, powerful 1GHz Snapdragon processor, GPS and social networking - plus of course the Android operating system. It supports multitasking, letting you listen to music while downloading files and browsing the web with almost no lag; and if at 153mm long it looks a little odd pressed to your ear, there's always the Bluetooth headset option.
SIM-free from Dell's website, the Streak will set you back £449 - and there is also a buy now, pay next year option for anyone not able to stump up four hundred odd quid right off the bat. By comparison, O2's pricing is set at £399 for the handset with no contract, or from £25 per month for a data-only 24 month contract.
