New iPod touch follows iPhone 4 in September

Anyone blown away by the look and feel of the new Apple phone can, theoretically, expect more of the same after it emerged yesterday that a revamped iPod touch could well follow similar lines. The revised model is due for release in September, and speculation is rising that it will emulate many of the design and performance features found on the latest phone.
In fact, the new iPod touch will essentially contain all of the core features of the phone 4, minus the making calls aspect. It's anticipated that there will be the five-megapixel camera, along with flash and HD video.
More interestingly, it's rumoured that the new iPod touch will allow FaceTime calls and this is a feature that allows users to make calls via a Wi-Fi connection. Thanks to built-in gyroscopic controls there'll also be a big emphasis on onboard gaming, along with a raft of features currently wowing users on the iPhone 4.
Speculation was fuelled at a Christmas sales presentation for UK retailer John Lewis, held yesterday.

Perhaps Apple can just sell the millions of iPhone 4s that are still rolling off the production line as iTouch 4s as apparently they arent that good for making phone calls.
