Demon launches broadband service for bandwidth-hungry gamers

Internet Service Provider Demon has unveiled a gaming broadband service aimed exclusively at the gaming community. Focused on speeding up play, the low latency service will prioritise gaming traffic.

Demon claims that speeds will be around 20Mb downstream and circa 1Mb upstream. A free router comes as part of the package, there's traffic prioritisation and a free static IP address. All of the component parts of the package are aimed at improving the overall online gaming experience.

An in-house UK support team is also available 24-hours a day while pricing for the Demon Game Pro package will be available at a special launch offer price of £21.99 per month if customers sign up for a twelve month contract. Alternatively, customers can pay £23.99 per month with a £29.99 connection fee for a three-month contract. The launch offer is available until 21st October 2010.

Matt Cantwell, Head of Demon, commented: “We know how important a good broadband connection is to the gaming community, and we are excited to be launching this product which has been designed to meet the specific needs of gamers. At Demon we appreciate that a better connection allows better gaming, and are confident that gamers will see the benefits that this service offers them.
