Orange launches mobile high-definition voice calls for businesses
Mobile operator Orange has launched a new mobile high-definition voice service, which promises to deliver crisp and clear reception to its business users.
Research carried out by Orange has shown that 75 per cent of business owners consider the call quality of their mobile service to be the most important aspect of any package. A further 33 per cent stated that they routinely struggled to hold phone conversations due to the noisy environment they work in.
The new Orange HD Voice service is said to eliminate all that and also make calls substantially clearer, with the mobile operator stating that it 'eliminates the perceived distance between callers, making it easier to hear the emotions in people's voices'.
Martin Stiven, VP of Business at Everything Everywhere, the company which runs Orange UK, said: “HD Voice is going to change the way businesses are able to communicate through our mobiles from conducting calls in places that were not previously possible to the ability to hear emotions in people’s voices."
"We’re about bringing people closer together and HD Voice does just that, making business colleagues feel as if they’re speaking face to face. People are going to love the clarity of calls and the lack of background noise. Once you’ve used it, you will want to keep it.”
HD Voice for business is now available on the Nokia E5 and the Samsung Omnia Pro 5230 handsets with more HD enabled handsets set to follow in the coming months. All units will be labelled with the Orange HD Voice logo to help consumers spot which models come with the new service.
HD Voice is subsequently free to anyone who buys one of these branded handsets.
