ISPA Awards name this year's finalists

Tuesday 19 May 2009 Comment

The finalists of the prestigious UK Internet Industry Awards have been announced for 2009, with Orange, Virgin Media and Vodafone in the running for best consumer mobile broadband provider.

The awards, which are run by the Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA), are now in their 11th year, with competition for finalists' places particularly fierce and a record number of entries. The awards are the only ones of their kind, designed to reward excellence in the Internet industry, and are considered particularly prestigious due to the fact that decisions are made based on an independent judging process and thorough testing by the ISPA's technical partner.

The finalists' lineup also includes categories for best business mobile broadband, and best customer service for both business and consumer sectors (finalists listed below).

Speaking about this year's awards, ISPA Secretary General, Nicholas Lansman said, "Each year the ISPAs  rewards the UK’s top Internet companies in each category after thorough testing and judging of each entrant. I would like to congratulate all of the finalists and look forward to welcoming them to the Awards dinner."

Winners will be announced on 9 July, in what is described as a "glittering awards ceremony" at the Grosvenor Marriott Hotel, so watch this space closer to the time a complete line-up of winners.
