Grab "Live Guy" and win a netbook

Wednesday 12 November 2008 Comment

Vodafone announces a slightly unusual new competition to celebrate its mobile broadband plus Dell netbook packages.

Starting from Monday 17th November, a Vodafone representative will be dressing up in red jumper boldly proclaiming "I'm Live Guy", and heading round the UK as the quarry on a treasure hunt. Hunters will simply have to track him down - using his route plan and clues left across social media sites - and confront him with the words "You're Live Guy and I'm a Vodafone winner" to be in with the chance to win a netbook.

The idea is that Live Guy will be moving round the country using the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook's wireless capabilities to get online and leave a trail of clues. He has four netbooks a day to give away for the duration of the competition, which sees him visit 11 major cities around the UK over 12 days.

More details can be found on the Live Guy site http://liveguy.vodafone.co.uk, where treasure hunters who will not be crossing paths with Live Guy in person can also have the chance to win a netbook by sticking pins in Google Maps to guess his location.
