Christmas laptop deals

Christmas is coming, and the goose is getting fat... and the mobile broadband deals are getting more interesting. As we approach the festive season there are a wealth of laptop deals on offer to tickle your fancy.

First up is T-Mobile, which is back in the laptop market with two new models, the Compaq Presario CQ61-305SA and the Samsung N130. The choice is laptop or netbook: the Compaq is a full-sized laptop with 15.6" Brightview display, 2GB of RAM and 160GB hard drive; while the N130 is a netbook wieghing in at just 1.25kg, with the Intel Atom processor and 1GB of RAM. The full-size model will set you back £30 per month for a 5GB allowance and the netbook comes in at £25 per month for 3GB.

Meanwhile Orange recently announced two new ‘connected laptops’; the Asus 1005HGO and the Compaq CQ61, both featuring the new operating system Windows 7. Again, it's laptop vs netbook - the Asus weighs 1.27kg, a 10.1" screen and on-board mobile broadband, where the Compaq has a 15.6" screen and comes with the Orange e1752 dongle. Price options vary from £25 to £40 per month for 12, 18 or 24 month contracts with 1GB, 3GB or 5GB of data.

And last but not least, 3 has also made some changes to its mobile broadband laptop line-up, with the return of the popular £17.50 per month laptop offer - in this case the super-portable Samsung N130 again, with 1GB of data per month.
