Orange offers customers the chance to win £1,000 in M&S vouchers

Orange offers customers chance to win

As part of a new marketing campaign, Orange is offering customers the chance to win £1,000 worth of Marks & Spencer shopping vouchers.

The offer is being texted to customers who have Orange's home broadband, and those with selected mobile broadband tariffs. By texting back with their email address, users can enter a competition to win the £1,000's worth of vouchers to spend with the popular retailer.

The competition is thought to primarily be a move by Orange to gain a list of customer email addresses for marketing purposes. While those on Orange's home broadband will have an Orange-issued email address, many people never use these sort of email accounts, preferring to stick with hotmail or other accounts that they've had for years.

Last month Orange launched two new mobile broadband deals, including its Internet Everywhere service for £4.89 per month (500Mb of data) and a £20 HMV vouchers for students signing up for certain tariffs.

I am quite pleased with Orange broadband other than the speed and the fact that the cost increased by 50% soon after I joined.
