Two new laptop offers have been announced from Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone, aimed to encourage mobile broadband customers within the next few months. First up is Vodafone's announcement that it will be the first European network operator to offer the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook (pictured) with built-in mobile broadband connectivity.

This slimline laptop, integrated with a Vodafone SIM and pre-installed mobile broadband connectivity software will be available from October on a 2-year contract basis. In order to sign up for the laptops customers are advised to pre-register for more information via the Vodafone website. In other news, Carphone Warehouse is rumoured to be showing little interest in plugging LG's 'Netbook' when it is released in October - available only in Ireland. Instead their own brand 'Webbook' made by Elonex will be the flavour of the month. The Webbook will be bundled with fixed and mobile broadband contracts. Sources: Mobile Today and Pocket Lint
