Vodafone products in Carphone Warehouse stores again

Consumers will be able to buy Vodafone products from high street retailer Carphone Warehouse again on the 7th of July, following a three year absence.

In a move which is believed to be intended to 'take back' Vodafone's home market - currently dominated by O2 - Vodafone has decided to put its mobile phones, upgrades, mobile phone and mobile broadband contracts back into Carphone stores.

Ian Shepherd, Vodafone UK’s consumer director commented "Carphone Warehouse has developed a formidable retail presence on the high street and we’re very pleased to offer our customers even more choice,” continuing to say that with a total of over 1,650 Vodafone, Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U stores customers will be provided with "excellent face to face help and service where and when they need it on the high street”.

Vodafone ended its sales of contracts through Carphone back in 2006 when it signed an exclusive deal with the company's rival Phones4U. However, Vodafone has now extended its partnership with Phones4U, which will continue to sell pay-as-you-go and contract options.
