Vodafone rumoured to be launching budget Android phone

Rumour is spreading Vodafone is planning to release its own Android handset before the Summer and there have been suggestions the device will retail for a competitive price of around £137.
The budget smartphone looks set to be kitted with the latest Android platform and follow in the footsteps of T-Mobile's own Android smartphones, the T-Mobile Pulse and Pulse Mini.
At the moment the device has been dubbed the Vodafone 845, although we're pretty sure it will be treated to a snazzier name closer to the launch.
As cost is being kept to a minimum don't expect much in the way of fancy bells and whistles in terms of build. This handset is rumoured to sport a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen and a fairly low-res 3.2-megapixel camera. However, the good news is all devices will offer Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS as standard.
Although Vodafone has yet to make any solid announcement on a launch date for this model tech sites are suggesting the 845 will be available from May.
