Where to watch The Mandalorian in the UK

Star Wars: The Mandalorian is a new Star Wars series from Disney that follows the story of a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter as he tackles the contradictory demands of his career and the unique situation he finds himself in.

It is one of many Star Wars TV series Disney has planned for release over the next few years. As Disney has recently launched its own streaming service, Disney+, the show is currently only available on that service.

How to watch The Mandalorian on Disney+

The Mandalorian is only available to stream on Disney+

Disney+ can be streamed using most connected devices. That includes include Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, tablets, games consoles, computers, and smart TVs.

  • What broadband speed do I need to watch Disney+?

Disney recommends the following broadband speeds:

    • HD quality recommended speed: 5Mb
    • Ultra HD quality recommended speed: 25Mb

Cheap ADSL broadband can be suitable for viewing Disney+ up to HD quality (though it may struggle if you try to stream more than one show at a time). For Ultra HD video or multiple HD streams, you will need fibre optic broadband.

In general, we recommend a minimum broadband speed of 2Mb to comfortably use any streaming video service at the lowest quality. But higher-quality video will demand more bandwidth, and you also have to consider whether other people in your home will be using the connection at the same time.

For further help see our guide to choosing a broadband speed and introduction to broadband speeds.

How much will it cost to stream The Mandalorian?

Disney+ costs £5.99 per month on a rolling monthly contract or £59.99 per year if paid annually. There is a 7-day free trial available so you can check it out before paying.

Will I like The Mandalorian?

If you are a Star Wars fan - and especially if you liked Jango or Boba Fett in the movies - you definitely need to watch The Mandalorian.

But you don’t have to be a Star Wars enthusiast to enjoy the series as it has wide appeal thanks to the classic hero’s journey narrative, and a surprisingly restrained approach compared to the bombastic movies. It isn’t all about blasters and gunfights; The Mandalorian has rich characters and a compelling story.
